Federal Law #123-FL (sec. 51 p.3, sec. 83 p. 5, sec 84 p. 7) and Sets of rules SR 3. 13130.2009 (p. 3.4) and SR 5.13130.2009 (pp. 12.1.1 and 14.4) toughen the requirements to systems workability providing the fire-safety, - particularly, to cable lines, alerting systems, anti-smoke protection and extinguishing.
The implementation of fireproof wires, cables and connective boxes particularly solves this problem. But industry hasn’t mastered mass series production of fireproof light and sound detectors. There are such situations when in the detector (or any other extra device included in the connection line) is damaged, connection wires leading to it are bridged, as a result THE WHOLE (fireproof!) connection line fails
Now, the implementation of all requirements of Federal Law #123-FL and SR5.13130.2009 of functioning of alerting system during the evacuation time, of control of connection lines with any type of light or sound fire detectors became less money-losing!
UK-D imp. K1 (is included in multi-component PPU “Gefest”), suggested for implementation, combines functions of fireproof commutation box with ceramic terminal blocks, control device of detectors circuit, electronic preventer, short-circuit isolator and offers:
- To incorporate in one controlled along the whole length connection line (CL) detectors in constant switched-on mode (light signs “Exit”, “Pump station” and so on) and detectors switched-on by the signal “Fire” (sirens, panel “Fire” and so on) – cable economy!
- To control the connection line with light and sound fire detectors to prevent abruption and short-circuit (SC)
- To form the signal “Fail” during the detection of the fail in local line connection and translate it through UCSC (B) and UCSC (RP) in any fire-alarm system.
- To cut off failed branch with the detector from CL to SC by any reasons, also during the damage of detector because of the fire in the building, and at that the workability of the rest alerting line is saved.
The unit has two indicators:
- “Mode” – illuminates in green color in the standby conditions with constant illumination and winks with frequency rate 4 Hz in “Fail” mode.
- Start – illuminated in red color during the .signal “Fire” (“Start”) that makes adjusting works and fail discover easier.
The choice of connected load (constantly on or switched-on by the command) is done with the jumper on the deck of unit.
