Explosion-proof junction box KM-V
Description
Explosion-proof junction box are designed for connecting and branching of electrical and lighting circuits of DC and AC, information network cables, alarm and control circuits of fire safety systems in explosive environments with gas and dust (except for underground mines and their surface structures). They are used for installation in hazardous areas of premises and outside facilities in accordance with the assigned explosion protection marking, requirements of GOST IEC 60079-2014 and industry safety rules governing the use of such equipment in explosive atmospheres. The enclosure is made of stainless steel AISI 304 sheet with thickness of 1,2 mm.
Design
Junction boxes enclosure has rectangular or square shape. The lid is hermetically sealed to the enclosure by the connection with screws and sealing silicone gasket. Boxes are supplied with Ex terminals installed on DIN-rail. On the cover and on the housing there are earthing terminals "PE". In the side walls the Ex cable glands with external diameter of 3-26 mm are installed. At the customer's request, Ex-cable glands of other diameter can be installed if it is technologically possible to manufacture them. Application of armoured cables and cables laid in metal hoses or pipes is also possible.
Feature
Explosion-proof junction box are made of stainless steel grade AISI 304, which has chemical and corrosion resistance, high strength. All external mounting elements are made of stainless steel.
The boxes are certified for compliance with the requirements of technical regulations: ТР ТС 012/2011 "About safety of equipment for work in explosive environments".
