General and technical data

Junction boxes KM-IP66 are designed for connection and branching of cable lines. Used for mounting indoors and outdoors under a canopy.

The body of junction boxes is made of 1,2 mm thick galvanized steel and is covered by polymeric paint. It has double protection against corrosion because of galvanic treating and polymeric cover. Elements of connections and fittings also have galvanic anti-corrosion cover. Density of contact between the cap and the body is implemented via a silicon pad.

On the cover and on the housing there are grounding clamps "PE". The side walls are equipped with stainless steel cable glands providing the protection degree not less than IP66.

The box is equipped with a DIN rail on which switching devices are placed.

It is possible to use cables laid in metal hose, corrugated stainless pipe, pipe for water and gas. You can find types of cable glands used for cable connection laid in a metal hose, corrugated stainless pipe, pipe for water and gas below.

The boxes are certified for compliance with the requirements of technical regulations: ТR CU 004/2011 "About safety of low-voltage equipment".

Advantages:

Temperature range: from -40ºС to +100ºС.
The diameter of the connected cable for standard cable glands M16, M20, M25: 4-18 mm.
It is possible to color boxes according to RAL.

Designation of junction boxes during the order

KM -IP66 х where:

KM – denomination;

IP66- degree of protection;

х - designation of size of a junction box

Types of cable glands used for connection of the cable laid in a metal hose, corrugated stainless pipe, pipe for water and gas below shall be specified during the order.

Types and manufacturers of cable glands can be changed at the discretion of the manufacturer keeping all the basic properties.

Possible maximum and minimum diameters of cable armor:

- from 3 mm to 6,5 mm

- from 4 mm to 8 mm

- from 6 mm to 12 mm (standard shipment)

- from 10 mm to 14 mm

- from 8 mm to 16 mm

- from 13 mm to 18 mm

Cable glands can be manufactured from brass with covered with or from stainless steel.
