Explosion-proof and explosion-proof fireproof junction boxes are designed to connect and branch cables of electric and lighting circuits of DC and AC, information network cables, alarm and control circuits of fire safety systems in explosive environments with gas and dust content (except for underground mines and their surface structures).
They are used for installation in hazardous areas of premises and outside facilities in accordance with the assigned explosion protection label, GOST IEC 60079-2014 requirements and industry safety rules governing the use of such equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres.
The enclosure of explosion-proof and flame-proof junction boxes has a rectangular or square shape. The lid is hermetically sealed to the enclosure by the connection with screws and sealing silicone gasket. Explosion-proof and flameproof junction boxes are made of stainless steel AISI 304, which has chemical and corrosion resistance, high strength.
