General and technical data

Fireproof junction boxes КМ-О IP66 are designed for connection and branching of fire-resistant cable lines. They are used for outdoor and indoor installation under a shelter.

The body is made of stainless steel sheet AISI 304 1.2 mm thick. Body of fireproof junction box has a rectangular or square shape. The lid is hermetically sealed to the housing by the connection with screws and sealing silicone gasket. Inside the enclosure there are ceramic terminal blocks. On the cover and on the housing there are grounding clamps "PE". In side walls there are stainless steel cable glands that provide protection degree at least IP66.

Fireproof junction boxes are made of stainless steel AISI 304, which has chemical and corrosion resistance, high strength, and has excellent low-temperature properties. The screw ends on the terminal block have a rounded shape that allows the wires to be secured without damage. Ceramic terminal blocks provide a secure connection in fire conditions.
All external fixing elements are made of stainless steel. The gaskets are made of frost-resistant silicone, designed for ambient temperatures down to -60 ° C.

Boxes are certified to comply with technical regulations: TR TS 004/2011 "On Safety of Low Voltage Equipment".

KM-O – denomination;

10k - number of contacts in a terminal block;

6,0 – maximum possible cross-section of wires connected to terminal blocks. In the case of installation of a terminal block needed for connection wires with a cross-section up to 3,0 mm2 this designation is not used;

IP66- degree of protection;

х - designation of size of a junction box: «100х100»; d; «120х120» (see the table “Modifications” KM-O IP 66). In the case of modification with 80x80mm size designation is not used

Types and manufacturers of cable glands can be changed at the discretion of the manufacturer keeping all the basic properties.

Possible maximum and minimum diameters of cable armor:

- from 3 mm to 6,5 mm

- from 4 mm to 8 mm

- from 6 mm to 12 mm (standard shipment)

- from 10 mm to 14 mm

- from 8 mm to 16 mm

- from 13 mm to 18 mm

Cable glands can be manufactured from brass with covered with or from stainless steel.
