      Is it possible to change the size of the glands on the KM-O IP66 boxes?

      Yes. At the request of the client, we can install glands of bushings with a different diameter, within the limits of technological capabilities. We can also manufacture, by special order, KM-O IP66 boxes of the required dimensions, within the limits of technological capabilities.


      For what cable section are the fire-resistant terminal blocks in the KM-O boxes designed?

      KM-O with terminal blocks designed for cable cross-sections 2.5-3.0mm 2 are serially produced. Serial production of KM-O with front terminals with a cross section of 6.0 mm 2 is envisaged. By special order, terminals with a large cross-section of the connected wires can be installed, taking into account the structural dimensions of the KM-O.

      What type of terminal blocks are used in KM-O fire-resistant boxes?

      Clamps are used screw paired in ceramic insulators.

      Why are ceramic terminal blocks installed in metal boxes?

      The metal box provides mechanical strength, but is not able to protect the terminals from high temperatures (during the time required to evacuate people in case of fire). Plastics that can withstand temperatures of 80°С and higher have not been mastered by the industry, and the ceramic terminals successfully retain their operability.

      How does the Olimp system differ from other fire automation systems?

      Conventional fire control systems specialize in servicing single fire extinguishing areas. In rare cases, the formation of two or three dozen zones is required. The Olimp system can provide servicing of several thousand freely programmable extinguishing zones.

      What is the Olymp system for and what are its capabilities and limitations?

      The number of controlled sprinklers that provide protection for large objects can be up to several thousand. Accordingly, the monitoring and control system must provide up to several thousand extinguishing zones with dynamically formed groups of sprinklers. To implement this function, the Olymp system was developed. At the lower level, fire extinguishing zones are formed by software and hardware by the local controller KL-240. It has a limitation on the formation of the number of fire extinguishing zones -240, the number of simultaneously activated sprinklers in automatic mode -12. At the upper level, fire extinguishing zones are formed and controlled by the BKU-3200 control and management unit, while the number of independent fire extinguishing zones is 3200, and the number of sprinklers switched on in automatic mode (simultaneously or sequentially) can reach 144 units.

      Is it possible to use controlled sprinklers (sprinklers) "Aqua-Gefest" with control systems other than the "Olimp system"?

      What is the advantage of controlled sprinklers and sprayers?

      A conventional sprinkler has a high inertia, heats up slowly and works, as a rule, only with a significant fire source. The higher it is set, the less effective it is. At altitudes, for example, 12 m and above, the sprinkler can be triggered when the fire source has already exceeded the sprinkler's irrigation zone. At high altitudes - 20 m and above, the sprinkler may not be triggered even after the fire load has completely burned out.

      The controlled sprinkler eliminates these disadvantages, while maintaining the main function of the sprinkler as a successful fire extinguishing agent that has been used for more than 100 years. A controlled sprinkler, taking into account the high level of development of monitoring and control systems, successfully combines both a function of a dynamically formed deluge section (it can turn on in one gulp in the event of a rapid fire development, provides the formation of water curtains and irrigation zones for glasses, doors, structures), and successfully can work targeted at the detected target. Combined use of controlled sprinklers with flame detectors, television systems, etc. allow you to "soak" the arsonist at any point in the protected space, until the moment of arson. The function of such a cut-off is performed by a short-circuit insulator with a thermal release, which is connected in series to the siren circuit and is located in the immediate vicinity or inside the siren. In its normal state, this product has practically zero internal resistance and does not affect the performance of the sirens and the entire system. When the temperature rises to 145 degrees (or other on request), the thermal protection is removed, and the product begins to function as a fuse. In the event of a short circuit, the emergency section is turned off, but at the same time the survivability of the warning system as a whole is ensured. The design feature of the product lies in the fact that at a temperature of 800 degrees and above, it retains the function of a short-circuit insulator.

      Is it possible to use the UKLSiP device to monitor the cable line to the shunt release of the ventilation circuit breaker (ventilation blocking in the event of a line fire)?

      To control the shunt release (ventilation blocking starter), it is advisable to use an independent device UKLSiP (S), which is part of the PPU "Gefest". Serially, this device is produced to monitor the cable line, the serviceability of the input electrical circuit of the control object and control the loads of the 220V network (but at the request of the customer, a product can be manufactured for a different voltage: AC 36V, 110V or DC 24V). By moving the jumper inside the device, the mode of enabling or disabling the blocking by fire signal is selected.

      How to use UKD-02 to connect three different consumers (with control)?

      UK-D (02) is a smart relay that in its basic version controls the presence of a voltage of 220 V, which provides control of the communication line and the presence of a load in the 220 V circuit. The load is switched on by the "Start" command by closing the contact of the internal executive relay with a load capacity of up to 220V.

      If it is necessary to control and manage three different loads in different places, then three UK-D (02) devices should be used. If all three consumers (more precisely, their starters) are in the same cabinet, and in total they consume no more than 3A in the on state (short-term impulse current, the moment of switching on can reach 40A for a time of no more than 10 ms), then they can be connected in parallel. The reliability of their connection must be guaranteed by the quality of manufacture of the control cabinet.

      How many sirens (devices) can be connected to control devices that are part of the Hephaestus PPU?

      PPU "Gefest" belongs to the class of multicomponent devices and has the ability to build up the structure practically without limiting the number of connected sirens or other executive devices. It is necessary to take into account the energy capabilities per device, an independent communication line with control objects. So, for example, UKLSiP (B) or UKLSiP (RP) allows a load in the communication line in standby mode up to 0.5 A (500 mA) and in “Fire” mode up to 2A (2000mA). This means that, per device, 25 “Output” light sounders with a current consumption of 20 mA each can be switched on simultaneously, and in the “Fire” mode another 30 sounders (sirens) with a current consumption of 50 mA each.

      It should be borne in mind that the communication line provides the ability to connect additional local branches with the “Exit” signs through the UK-D (04) device or sirens and signs activated by the “Fire” signal through the UK-D (05) device. The load capacity of serial UK-D (04) and UK-D (05) is limited to a current of 100 mA (supply voltage 24 V). However, by special order, reinforced versions of UK-D (04) with a load current of up to 300 mA and UK-D (05) with a load current of 1A (1000mA) are manufactured.

      If it is necessary to increase the number of connected objects, one or more UKLSiP (RP) devices are additionally installed, acting as an expander, and the number of connected objects is increased to the required value.

      There are other ways to increase the number of monitored communication lines and switched on sirens, including those powered by the 220V circuit.
